We want you to know that our school barn program will go on uninterrupted under the guidance of our trainers, Tere Lautner and Sarah Stein. Many of you have already met Tere. She comes to us with a long and very distinguished career in the hunter/jumper world, starting on the East coast where she showed at Devon, Florida, Upperville, Lake Placid and Detroit, to name a few. She qualified for the Maclay Finals (as many of you know, not a small accomplishment).

After college in Maryland, she trained race horses in Southern Pines and did some modeling. (Witness the long legs!) Tere spent 14 years riding, training, supporting and running the business for world class hunter/jumper trainer, Peter Pletcher in Houston, and then started her own business in Vail teaching, training, and selling horses. She has worked with young children as total beginners up to top level hunter/jumper riders. One of our boarders who has worked with Tere in the last few months said, ”She is one the nicest people I have ever met in the horse industry”. I have worked and trained with Tere in the last 10 months, and my riding has drastically improved, and that has been after many years and many trainers

Claire Pruitt-Gatski rejoins our team after a brief hiatus; Claire hails
from Texas where she has worked with many well known trainers including Peter Pletcher. She has been in the metro Denver area for four years along with her husband, Gunner, who many may know as a premiere horse show farrier. In addition to training and riding hunters and jumpers, Claire is a USEF licensed "A" show judge. Claire specializes in the development of pre-green horses, and children's and adult /amateur hunters, as well as Young Riders.

Sarah is not new to Kent Hill Farm, in fact she calls us her second home! She has trained, ridden horses her whole life. In the past she taught with her mother, also a horse trainer, in the Parker area. Sarah has started hunters and jumpers while a boarder at Kent Hill. She spent this summer training dressage horses in Germany riding with some of the top trainers at a Hanoverian breeding facility. She is currently training her 4 ear old stallion, Improvisor, who you may see here. In her spare time she grooms and trains polo ponies. Sarah is familiar to some of you since she has taught in our riding school in the past. Though only 20 years old, Sarah is finishing her senior year at UCD. Please help us welcome back Sarah!

All of our trainers can help you get to where you want to be with your riding.

Please come talk to us about your plans, dreams and goals so that we can more effectively help you achieve them. We will be attending schooling shows for practice, local CHJA shows and “A” rated shows in and out of state.
